Advocacy projects I am part of:

Apart from my work as an author, writer, editor, and speaker, I am a proud and ongoing participant in organising and consulting on the events, resources, and projects of the following groups.

If you are part of a dyspraxia, neurodiversity or thyroid-related research group, advocacy group, or charity, and you want to put me on your board or involve me in your resources or activities, feel free to contact me and let me know what you're up to.

I can't promise availability, but I am definitely open to being part of other people's advocacy projects. Those who want to involve me in their projects can feel free to check out my access rider page for accessibility requirements.

Trustee work

I'm currently serving on the Dyspraxic Me board of trustees as a marketing trustee. Dyspraxic Me is a registered UK charity, and I am formally registered with the UK charity commission as a trustee serving on this board.

Some recent events I have helped plan & promote:

An up to date listing of our events is available here.
Voices in Action: People Living With Diabetes in Global Health is wrapped around an image of a blue globe with a map of the world.
I am currently on the board of trustees of Voices In Action: People Living With Diabetes In Global Health, a Canadian registered not-for-profit. Voices in Action's core focus is the following:

"We mentor and link like-minded people, partner with like-minded organisations, make complicated high-level processes easier to understand and become involved in, assist people living with diabetes on specific advocacy campaigns and increase attention given to diabetes in global health, advocacy and development dialogue."

Other projects I'm involved in:

Dyspraxic Alliance

Dyspraxic Alliance is run by a group of dyspraxia advocates that are dedicated to providing support, advice, online safety, advocacy and more. Our mission is to welcome and unite anyone seeking dyspraxia support and guidance.
  • I am a co-founder of this online support network.
  • This means that I am an admin, moderator, live stream and social event coordinator for all events

Dyspraxia Magazine

Each issue is filled with positive stories from dyspraxic people, health professionals and family members.

I'm a panel member...
I'm part of the global committee of people making decisions on what topics should be covered, future interview subjects, future live discussions & resources, research studies highlighted, and more in this Dyspraxia focused online magazine. This magazine is patient-focused and highlights the stories & experiences of people with Dyspraxia from all backgrounds, ages, and professions. The point of the magazine is to raise awareness of and encourage support for Dyspraxia in a positive, genuine light.

Live Streams: neurodiversity & dyspraxia

Virtual collaborations with the dyspraxia community and the neurodiversity advocacy community at large. Many of these collaborations are made possible by my existing advocacy relationships.
