DO YOU ACCEPT GUEST BLOG pitches, for your blog?
Only if you follow my guest blog post pitching guidelines. You can easily read the guidelines by clicking here.
Can I include a back link in the projects that you're working on?
I'm unable to endorse your product or service on other websites because of conflict of interest issues.
However, I will happily publish affiliate or referral links that your company created, that are also sales commission based, and meet specific requirements. And, if accepted I'll recommend your product or service on my blog's resource page, and feature your affiliate links.
For more info about what these requirements are click here.
What's the best way to contact you?
Email is the quickest possible way to get your questions answered. I check my email multiple times a day, and overall it's just what I prefer. My email address, by the way, is email@example.com.
For phone, Google Hangouts, Zoom, in person, and Skype-based meetings and consultations email me first, and I'll send you a URL for booking a call.
If you're ready to start a project, fill out the hire me form. Once I receive your submission, you'll get an automated email, which will tell you what to expect after you fill out the form.
How much does it cost?
*Please note: all costs are listed in Canadian dollars*
The average cost for my editing and copywriting services ranges between $300 and $800 per post for blog posts and per page for web pages.
And strategy sessions, when not included in a package or service varies based on what kind of content strategy you need help with.
If what you're looking for is blog editorial calendar planning-based strategy each session is an hour long, and costs $250 per session. If you need help with blog content engagement strategy (figuring out how to promote your existing blog content, via the social media groups and accounts that your readers/ customers check out everyday), I charge $100 per hour.
Alternatively you can get a large bundle of my services, for longer term projects, via a retainer-based package. A complete listing of my available packages is available here.
What's your availability?
I have 5 slots available for new clients/projects per month.
The typical turnaround time for blog posts and web pages is 5 business days per web page or blog post.
This allows me to prioritize quality over quantity, in order to make your investment as worthwhile as possible.
If you're in a hurry and need the work done in less than 5 business days, contact me right away and let me know, and I'll add a 20% rush fee to your tab.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I live in Toronto, Canada, so I'm running on Eastern standard time.
However, I've worked with clients from across Canada, the US, and the UK, and am always open to meeting and collaborating with businesses worldwide.
How do I know that you'll capture my brand's voice?
I take my time with my work, and listen carefully to what you and your audience are saying about your business; and this is what allows me to pay close attention to your brand's (and also your target audience's) values and long-term goals.
That's exactly what the values and goals PDF, all other documents included in my client files, the form that I get clients to fill out when they first book a project, and the introductory consultation call is for.
It's basically an amazing opportunity to get to know you, and what really matters to your company a little bit better!
I also encourage you to send me brand materials, such as social media posts, YouTube videos, Ad PDFs or URLs, etc to make it easier for me to get to know how your brand communicates with customers, potential investors, and anyone else that keeps you in business.
Why should I work with you instead of another writer?
Because I don't just create/ edit online content. I also:
Combine content creation with content engagement strategy sessions, so that my clients don't hit the publish button without knowing exactly who they want to reach and what the best possible way to reach them actually is.
Carefully and transparently manage each project, and the communication between myself and my clients. In fact, I use tools such as Trello and Asana, so that my clients are never uncertain about what's happening next, and can ask questions/ make suggestions 24/7.
Get the stress, pressure, and ups and downs of running/ marketing a business. As the daughter of a former small business owner, and a professional actor, I bring the unique experience to my work of growing up in a world of entrepreneurship and creativity.
How long have you been freelancing?
I started freelancing in the summer of 2014, so it's been three years now. I have also been actively engaged in content creation and social media marketing, via the work that I've done both in the not-for-profit sector and on my blog, since 2009.
I'm a copywriter, editor, and content strategist that specializes in website and blog content.
When you invest in my content strategy sessions, you have your choice of company blog editorial calendar planning strategy sessions, that turn your goals, values, and interests into future blog posts, and blog content engagement strategy sessions, for reaching your audience on the social media accounts and groups that they check daily.
All of my writing/editing services come with everything from content engagement strategy sessions, to online content essentials, such as audience, social media, and search friendly keywords, headlines, and images.
For writing projects, you also get a complimentary round of revisions, so that you can request a change (or not) on anything you want, without any additional fees.
For more info about the topics that I specialize in, click here.
WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS?
All of my clients are established, consumer-focused brands and E-Commerce stores.
For example, I've worked with major brands, such as Yellowpages and E-Bay, and not-for-profits, startups, and small businesses, such as Lokafy and BeFunky Inc.
How should I pay you?
In terms of payments, you have two options:
1) You can pay me online via credit card or interact online. Please note that there is a 3% processing fee for all payments from major credit and debit cards that aren't e-transfer based.
2) You can pay me via E-Transfer.
When you get a package, and the project is accepted, you'll sign a contract.
And regardless of whether you purchase my services via a package or on a per project basis, I require a 50% deposit at the beginning of a project, and a 50% deposit at the end of a project.
And I cannot proceed with the package you signed up for unless your contract is signed.
I've never worked with a writer before? What can I expect?
A very low percentage of my clients have worked with writers before, so a lot of the concerns and questions you likely have aren't exactly different than what I'm used to.
My process is extremely transparent, and apps such as Trello, Asana, and Slack make it easy for me to always keep my clients posted about what I'm working on, and what's happening next.
I was also raised by parents that have both been self-employed or business owners, throughout their careers, so I really understand the stress and priorities of businesses like yours. Plus I'm a super patient person overall, so if I'm confusing the heck out of you, just speak up and I'll help you out.
What types of editing do you do?
A lot depends on what need to be done, to improve your content.
If you only need someone to look at the mechanics of your content, such as the facts, spelling, grammar, and word choices, I'll happily do that.
If you're not really sure if the overall structure/ flow of your content will suit your audience, and make sense to them, I'll also happily take a look at that.
Because my specialty is in online content, regardless of the type of editing you need, I'll also make sure that your content is web, search engine, and social media friendly. This involves taking a look at everything from keywords and headlines, to paragraph structure.
I use a lot of the common industry standard practices that I learned via my Editing Certification studies, such as Microsoft Word's track changes feature, and author queries, although I also often use Google Docs for blog content edits, and will happily give you feedback directly from Wordpress if necessary.
