I read your blog, and would love to submit a guest post. What should I do?
The best way to send me a pitch is to follow my guest post guidelines. You can easily read the guidelines by clicking here.
aRE YOU OPEN TO OUTSOURCING TO OTHER FREELANCERS?
Sorry, I'm afraid not. As much as I'd like to support other freelancers' work, that's just not realistic for me at this point in time.
How would you feel about featuring my company's backlinks in the content that you develop for other websites?
I'm unable to endorse your product or service on other websites because of conflict of interest issues.
However, I will happily publish affiliate or referral links that your company created, that are also sales commission based, and meet specific requirements. And, if accepted I'll recommend your product or service on my blog's resource page, and feature your affiliate links.
For more info about what these requirements are click here.
what's the best way to contact you?
Email is the quickest possible way to get your questions answered. I check my email multiple times a day, and overall it's just what I prefer. My email address, by the way, is firstname.lastname@example.org.
For phone, Google Hangouts, Zoom, in person, and Skype-based meetings and consultations email me first, and I'll send you a URL for booking a call.
If you're ready to start a project, fill out the hire me form. Once I receive your submission, you'll get an automated email, which will tell you what to expect after you fill out the form.
where are you located?
live in Toronto, Canada, so I'm running on Eastern standard time.
However, I've worked with clients from across Canada, the US, and the UK, and am always open to meeting and collaborating with businesses worldwide.
What services do you offer?
I'm a web & blog content copywriter, editor, and content strategist that helps E-Commerce and retail brands develop content that builds trust and a strong sense of community with like-minded customers. But what type of people do I work with? Just to give you a sense of my clientele, I've worked with large brands such as E-Bay and Yellowpages, small businesses such as Braiseryy Chicken, and startups such as Lokafy and BeFunky Inc. A more detailed intro to what I offer is available here.
What are the benefits of hiring a copywriter that is all about building communities, such as yourself?
Being good at building a strong sense of community is an asset for any digital marketer or web copywriter, because the web is a platform where people expect a customized experience. Plus the rules of SEO are changing. It's not enough to repeat a keyword a certain amount of times. Google is getting super smart, and is starting to reward relevant answers rather than just numerical algorithms. I can help you be the most relevant answer to peoples' questions. And this is what leads to additional revenue, social shares, and referrals.
How much does it cost?
The average per web page or blog post rate ranges between $300 and $800 Canadian. And you can check out my a la carte rates here.
If you're looking for help with website rewrites & blog post proofreading, or blog content creation over the long-term rather than the short term go to my hire me page, and see what package options are currently available.
What payment methods do you accept? Are there any payment terms & conditions I need to know about?
In terms of payments, you have two options:
1) You can pay me online via credit card or interact online. Please note that there is a 3% processing fee for all payments from major credit and debit cards that aren't e-transfer based.
2) You can pay me via E-Transfer.
When you get a package, and the project is accepted, you'll sign a contract.
And regardless of whether you purchase my services via a package or on a per project basis, I require a 50% deposit at the beginning of a project, and a 50% deposit at the end of a project.
And I cannot proceed with the package you signed up for unless your contract is signed.
What's your availability?
I have 5 slots available for new clients/projects per month.
The typical turnaround time for blog posts and web pages is 5 business days per web page or blog post.
This allows me to prioritize quality over quantity, in order to make your investment as worthwhile as possible.
Since the amount of space I have for new projects varies from month to month, you'll be notified of the most appropriate start date, as soon as your project is approved.
If you're in a hurry and need the work done in less than 5 business days, contact me right away and let me know, and I'll add a 20% rush fee to your tab.
I'm interested in your editing services. What type of editing do you do & what's your process?
I primarily specialize in online marketing content editing, of web pages and blog posts. And you're often paying for a two-step process.
1) Step one: a basic copyedit to get the meaning clear & correct stuff like spelling errors, run-on sentences, and the context of how words are used. 2) Step two: a format- based edit to adapt your content for a web audience and make sure your headlines are catchy, your sentences are short and to the point, your keywords are applied in the correct context, etc.
Send me a Microsoft Word .Doc copy, and I'll use the track changes feature to give you a sense of what's been changed. Then all you have to do is approve the changes and we'll be able to move on to the next version.
How long have you been freelancing & what's your background in content marketing?
I started freelancing in the summer of 2014, so it's been three years now. I have also been actively engaged in content creation and social media marketing, via the work that I've done both within the not-for-profit sector and on my blog, since 2009.
How will you capture my brand's voice?
Good question! Start off by reading more about my approach to my work here.
Would you be willing to do a test assignment before I decide whether or not I should Hire you?
I'm afraid not. I used to allow that when I first started freelancing, but now that I'm more experienced I don't want to spend the time I could spending on client projects, and all the other aspects involved in running a business on writing something that may not even lead to anything valuable. Why not check out my writing samples instead, which are available here?
I'm interested in your services, however money is a barrier. Do you have any payment plan options?
Yes! I offer payment plans for both the Blogging Deluxe Edition and the Rewrite my Site Packages. Contact me for more details. And the a la carte services are 50/50 deposit based (50% paid at beginning of the project, and 50% paid at end of project), so that you can pay for it in smaller instalments.
